Background:
Trev lost his parents when he was 16, both assimilated by the Borg at Wolf 359 but put out of their misery when the cube was destroyed above Earth, before the Borg could fully assimilate them. A devastated Trev was sent to live with his god parents, the Mac Lirs.
At 18, he joined Starfleet and specialized in counseling. After graduation he was assigned to the USS Grissom. This is where he met his wife, Jennifer, and they were married shortly after he turned 23 years of age. In early 2374, they had a child. In 2375, their son was killed during one of the closing battles of the Dominion War, one week before Christmas.
After that, things just fell apart, including his marriage. His wife blamed him for the death of their son, as he was the officer. Trev felt guilty, even though it wasn't realistically his fault. He became sullen and began causing fights, drinking. Eventually he was found guilty of insubordination and taking a shuttle without permission. He was demoted and took a forced LOA.
At the same time, his wife separated from him and transfered to another ship, a Federation Border Patrol Cutter, the SS Danika Morgan. After seeking counseling himself, he was reassigned to another ship as Assistant Chief Couselor. Once he proved himself to be fit for duty, he was allowed to transfer.
After a quick search of the available positions available, Lieutenant Mac Lir put in for transfer to the USS Relentless, which had just lost it's Chief Counselor to a paternity leave. With the consent of Captain Therrien, Trev arrived just as the refit of the USS Relentless was completing, and was accepted. He has just transferred to a Medical Starbase.
Personality Profile:
He is tall, dark and handsome. His hobbies surprise many such as his needlepoint which is viewed to be a woman's hobby but it actually relaxes him. He picked it up while going through counseling for the loss of his son.
Trev still feels the pain of the death of his son, Timothy and the loss his wife, Jennifer, who he did love very much. He regrets what happened now, and hopes to move on and continue to lead a positive life, if only to atone for what happened. He keeps much to himself especially since his wife and he have never divorced and he refuses to give her the divorce. He has hopes of getting her back but she won't hear of it.

He won't talk much about his son. He has a niece named Nikki that comes and visits when she can.
